HOW THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST CHILDREN'S CANCER SOCIETY (KCCP) BEGAN?

It all started in 1964 when a gentleman by the name of Frank Morehouse had the opportunity to work as a Medical Technologist at Rogue Medical Centre in Medford, Oregon.  There he met Penny, a 10 year old brain cancer patient.  His relationship with Penny and her fatal condition is the inspiration behind our 2010-2011 Kiwanis Pacific Northwest Governor's Project.  Governor Frank is dedicating his program in memory of Penny, to help change the future of children suffering from cancer.

The program is now a Kiwanis Pacific Northwest District Program that supports work at BC Children's Hospital, Seattle Children's Hosptial and Dorenbecker Hospital in Portland OR.
